Berly:

Ella, welcome to denim wrapped nightmares, Tipsy exchange Podcast where we explore the supernatural series, episode by episode,

LA:

over drinks, we'll discuss the lore the gore and what we adore about the Winchesters and their adventures.

Berly:

I'm Burleigh, and I'm a new fan of the series. I'm

LA:

LA, and I'm here along for the ride. Now let's

Unknown:

get Tipsy. Hello, LA,

LA:

hey Burley. On the last episode, it was Ty told adventures in babysitting, which is also a great movie.

Berly:

So good. Vincent D'Onofrio is Thor. I forgot about

LA:

well, in the episode, daddy Lee chambers is having coffee at a diner and carefully watches one of the waitresses, Sally.

Berly:

I didn't think Sally was a waitress. I thought she was like, working the lot, you know what I mean? Wink, wink. Oh, that one. Yeah, that was Sally, because we're Michelle. Oh, that's

LA:

right, huh, we didn't get the waitress's name true. Okay, yeah, yeah. Okay. Anyway, so

Berly:

this is incorrect.

LA:

Well, when she goes outside with a man, Lee gives his regards to the other waitress, oh, Marlene. Oh, that's the name, though. Okay, yeah, and follows Sally into the parking lot. He doesn't find any sign of her, but Marlene comes up behind him as Lee starts to waver. Some very weird recap. This

Berly:

is just like a summary of the opening scene, right?

LA:

So she admits that she drugged him easily, knocks Lee out when he tries to fight. And then we end up learning they're the Tala the Batala,

Berly:

yeah, you know what I was thinking, because we did the lore after, you know everything, I was thinking that like the little teeth and eyes and everything, they were trying to make them look like

LA:

little bats. Oh yeah, I was, I was thinking cats, but bats, yeah, bats. More accurate, yeah, little bats, little bats, little bitchy bats.

Berly:

Well, today's episode is titled, time after time. It's the 12th episode of season seven, and originally aired on January 13, 2012 we open up. And I was very confused in the beginning, yeah. I was like, What did I miss? And I like, rewound so it was just the recap at the beginning. Oh, first they do during the then recap. When they showed Jodi, I got very upset because I realized no one's called Jodi, or, to our knowledge, no one's called Jodi to tell her about Bobby. But then we find out later in the episode that she does, in fact, know, I got really judgmental and very angry really quickly, all for nothing. Then we come to the now, and Sam and Dean are just sitting in their car, where you're sitting in your car and you're watching the cops. Cops do it,

LA:

oh, um, they were tailing him. No, casing the joint. No, I know what you're talking I know what you're talking about. I just

Berly:

can't bird. Oh, this is gonna drive me crazy. Observation, Stakeout, stakeout. Yeah, they were having a stakeout in their car, sitting there watching staking out, staking out the joint in front of some house, and then we see this guy go walking by in like a suit and a trench coat and a little fedora hat. And I was totally thinking, Oh, it's a Men in Black episode. That we're gonna have men in black being the monster of the week. I was way off. Not a thing. Sam and Dean say, Okay, let's, let's go after him. And Sam's like, Wait, whoa, what's the plan? And Dean goes,

LA:

don't die easy, enough,

Berly:

simple. So they take off after the guy. Then they decide to split up. Dean's gonna take the alley and, you know, tail the guy and Sam go around on the other side of the street. We'll meet in the middle. Dean somehow loses track of the guy for a second, and then whenever he finds him again, he's got this, I think it was a man. I don't know. It doesn't matter. A person has a person, he's like, on the ground, like cradling him in his arms, and there's this red light glowing between them. So I was like, not, not a man in black. No, I don't know what's going on here, but I was way off with that. And he's just like, Hey, Hi, buddy. Tackles him right as Sam turns the corner, and then it blows up this big all this wind. Sam's hair was just blowing in the wind, and then afterwards it was just like, volume. Maybe he's born with it. Maybe his brother just exploded. And then that's like, super supernatural. So that was the opening. Then we see the words two days earlier, and then it clicks with me. Oh, fuck. Okay. No, we didn't miss anything. Now they're gonna go back and explain it. Sam and Dean are in a motel. We didn't get a good look at the motel. No, I didn't notice a partition wall me either. But we're in a motel. Sam is asleep on the bed, and he's like sleeping across the bed with his legs hanging off the bed. Dean as at the table. Nice little. Dining dining table in this motel room, looking on the laptop. He's researching some dick. Again, I love a muffin. I told you earlier, like I saw James Patrick Stewart tweeted something, and I don't even remember what it tweeted, but I was just like, I love a muffin when I saw it, and I just died laughing. It to myself, if we ever get to meet him, that's I definitely want. I wonder if he's on cameo, if I can get a cameo of him being like, I love muffin. Should look I should anywho the phone rings and jars. Sam awake, and he's very irritated by it. Dean was like, Don't look at me. I'm not calling you. Well, it's Miss Jody mills. It's fabulous. Jody Mills on the line, and she's calling to tell them that she's found a case. She's like, I think this is a song that you boys tapped to. Yeah.

LA:

What'd she say? It

Berly:

smells like you too. Smells like you. Yeah. She had some really which ended up being like, thematic with the episode. I'm like, that totally sounds like shit from the 40s, right? So she had a grad student who disappeared, and when they disappeared, they look totally normal, young, youthful, 20 something grad student. But when they were found, they were like, mummified. And we find out later that the coroner says, Oh, the bodies still have blood in them, but they're 300 years old. Crazy. I was just like, nobody thinks any how are they identifying these bodies? Teeth, I guess because it's not going to be fingerprints if they're Oh, yeah, you know, hair, what is it? Yeah, and their blood's 300 years old. Is that even going to work anymore? I'm just like, what we find out, Jody knows about Bobby because she tells Sam and Dean that she's just been keeping her ear to the ground. She's been nosy, she's been paying attention, and she wants to keep in touch with them, just because of everything that's happened between them. And then when she said and Bobby, she like choked up, yeah, so it wasn't explicitly said, but the context clues I'll lead you to believe she's very aware of what happened with Bobby. We get even more of that later on in the episode. I would have liked to have seen that call. Oh, God

LA:

no, no. Oh, a bit too sad. Yeah,

Berly:

it would have Sam tells Jody that, yes, yes. This does smell like us.

LA:

We tap to that dance. We

Berly:

do want to tap dance to this. What

LA:

did he say? He didn't he. He was like, yeah, that's our number. Yeah, that's our number. Yeah. Sometimes it

Berly:

was very 1940s lingo. And I felt like, which I didn't catch it at the time, obviously, because we didn't know that we were going to the 40s in this episode yet. But in in hindsight, it matched the vibe of the rest of the episode. So I thought that was kind of clever. It was cute,

LA:

yeah, well, and she's like, she's definitely nosy, because she said she's in Sioux Falls, yeah,

Berly:

and this case is in Ohio, yeah. Like, what are you doing?

LA:

Are you Googling, seeking these out? Yeah, she

Berly:

is. She's being proactive. Jody Mills on the case. So Sam and Dean arrive in Canton at this, like, old abandoned house. I don't know if this is like a safe house on the hunter roster network that they went to, because they seemed to pull up specifically to this

LA:

house, well, isn't it the house that they were on the stakeout? No, this was the different house.

Berly:

This was the one that was, like all fenced in, where the kind little old man that thought he had termites lives in later. Oh, okay, yeah, yeah. This is just where they're going to crash this. This house has no importance to the case other than the fact that it's located in Canton at this point in time. But it's all fenced up and marked as, like, there's signs,

LA:

I think it's up for auction.

Berly:

So it's like, I'm like, curious, like, is it really just a vacant house that they happen to stumble upon, or that they did some research on in advance, or is it like a hunter safe house that somebody actually owns and just keeps there for hunters to come crash in if they need to? Yeah, I don't know. Which is it? It doesn't matter. That's just me being curious. I'm nosy too. I'm like Jody and mills. They go inside not not in the greatest condition. Apparently, there's a semi functional bathroom, and one room that is semi decent to crash in, that doesn't smell and is dilapidated, and for some reason, only one of them can sleep in this room. Yeah. I was like, they share hotel rooms and motel rooms all the time, where they sleep in the same room. Why is it, when they're in this house, only one of them can sleep in the good room? Yeah, it made

LA:

no sense. I was real confused. Why they had to do rock paper scissors to fight over the room.

Berly:

I did too. I was like, there's two walls. There's plenty of room for you both to sleep in this room. There's plenty of room for you to just sleep in the living room down there. If you're like, I don't know, whatever. It doesn't matter. I just thought it was a little weird. It was, but I guess it was, had to be important that Sam's room, I guess, yeah, for the story, they are researching what happened to this graduate student. And his name was Charles Durbin. I think it is. Yeah, I know the last name was Durbin. Luckily, there was a witness. So they go to interview the witness, and let me tell you the actor who played this witness. He was just like, This is my moment. He was kooky. He gave it his all. He really just put everything into being a weirdo. Yeah, exactly. He comes to the door in like a blanket, and then they're like, we're FBI. And he's like, Oh, let me come out here, because my mom is sleeping. So he comes out and he explains that he was out on the patio, like self medicating. And he does, like his hand, like, also mitigating, you know what I mean, wink, wink. And I look over and I see this dude, this young dude dressed like my grandpa, with a Justin Timberlake hat. Sam and Dean are like, what? And then he said that he grabbed Durbin by the neck, and he saw, like this red energy, like flowing and just going, and then they like, blew up and disappeared, or no, that then the guy blew up and, like, Durbin was a mummy, that's what it was. Yeah. He said he looked like a raisin, yeah. He looked like a raisin, yeah. He goes all out, yeah, on this performance to be this kooky weirdo. And he he was really upset. He was like, Y'all are gonna believe me. And Sam and Dean were like, No, give us a chance. But then, after he talks to them, Dean's just like, wow. Okay, guy, they're researching the lore, trying to figure out what they're hunting. And Sam confirms that there were actually a lot of weird dead bodies like this that have turned up in Canton going all the way back to 1928 and in each case, the victims died like, exactly the same, somehow they find out that there was a gas station or something, that Durbin was near a gas station for some reason, and Dean, like, quickly hacks the local CCTV. And Sam was very impressed, and Dean was very proud of himself. He was like, Yeah, that's a little trick I learned from Frank, and he's able to go directly to the gas station where they were, and they spot the fedora guy walking around. LFS, Sam was like, you have to teach me that trick. I

LA:

know I did. I love that too. Like I pained him to ask him to do.

Berly:

It was really cute. So they're getting a good look at the fedora guy for the first time. Sam quickly goes, Wait a minute, I literally just saw this fucking guy. And pulls up pictures from some of the crime scenes of these multiple dead bodies that they've found in Canton. And they're comparing, and it's literally the same guy, same outfit, everything. They're just like, What the hell they decide that they need to talk to somebody who was there whenever one of these other deaths happened, like, way back in the day. So they go talk to Terry, a young girl who was there at one of the mummified corpses from several decades back. I don't remember what the year was for this one. And she says, Oh yeah, that was Ethan Snyder. And she's like a doctor in a hospital now. And so I kind of wonder if, like, what happened at that case kind of inspired her to, oh, yeah, you know, going to medicine that she saw that his mummified body, because she does say, like, to this day, I have no idea what could have caused that to happen to his body. And so I kind of wondered, like, I wonder if that's why she went to medicine. I bet you're right. So I thought that was a cool choice to make her a doctor, because her character was had nothing to do with the plot, like we don't come back to her later, right? This is now whenever they finally go and find Ethan Snyder's house, and this is the house that we saw them staking out at the beginning of the episode. So now we're caught up. We're caught up and we see, we see the same thing happen again, but this time, whenever Dean tackles him and blows up, we don't see Sam's fabulous hair blowing in the wind and all that volume and everything that happens. It was so

LA:

worth the rewind.

Berly:

Well, the volume of the hair, it was fabulous. This time we follow Dean, and we end up in 1944 so they land. He's with the guy that had the red energy and the fedora. He's with the fedora hat guy, Snyder. Snyder, that's his name. Yeah. He's with Snyder. And he grabs Snyder's hand and takes a really good look at his hand to see a ring on his finger, before he lets go of his hand and Snyder takes off, gets away, escapes from Dean. He's married. He's out of there. Oh no, he's

LA:

not married.

Berly:

It's his god ring or something. It's his godly symbol on it. That's right. So they're able to figure out who he is later. So he takes off. Dean's like, whoa, whoa. And he takes a while to get up, and he gets his gun out, and he goes running and taking off. And then you start to hear the music coming in, and you see the cars around. And we've gone back in time, back in time. Dean is immediately clocked by two officers who happen to be right there on the street. Drop that gun, buddy. They're like, drop that fancy Pearl handle. That's the nicest gun I've ever seen in my life. Drop it, get on the floor, get on your knees, take off your clothes, and they take them in. The officer at the table is like going through Dean's things. I got a kick out of that. He was like, looking at his switch blade and pulled up his phone like, no signal. I can't. I didn't write anything down, but they were using all these 1940s lingo trying to figure out if he was a spy from Russia or Germany. I can't remember which one.

LA:

Yeah, I think he was like, Are

Berly:

you a Jeremy Jimmy? Are you me? Jimmy? Okay,

LA:

yeah, I

Berly:

didn't know what that meant me either. Still don't, no, but I'm gonna use it from now on. Are you Jimmy? And then a mysterious man comes in, and they're keeping him very much in the shadows, very Noir. I remember you saying that we were watching and then when we finally get a big reveal, we find out this is the infamous Mr. Elliot Ness. I

LA:

totally thought when, like, they were introducing each other, he was going to be a Winchester like his great, great, great, you know,

Berly:

that would have been cool, because he's

LA:

like, Dean, Wayne chest, Winchester, Winchester. And he's like, Elliot. Pause, ness. He

Berly:

said, ness, Ellie,

LA:

that's right, yeah. So

Berly:

you thought it was Ness Winchester at first? Yeah, I could see it old Nessie. And I said, Dean must have pissed his pants, because you could see that he was so excited whenever he realized who it was. Oh, he's this Eliot Ness guy. I mean, I would have been too, right? He was like, Am I an untouchable he's

LA:

like, geeking out. He's like, Oh yeah, I get to go hunt with Eliot Ness.

Berly:

I did like the twist that Eliot Ness was a hunter. That was, yeah, I liked that. I thoroughly enjoyed that. And that's why I thought it was going to be, he was going to be a Winchester, right? He was like, secretly, somehow related, secretly, somehow in the line, right, right, yeah, for those of you who may not know, Elliot Ness was an American prohibition agent known for his efforts to bring down Al Capone while enforcing prohibition in Chicago, he was the leader of a team of law enforcement agents who were hand picked because they were so incorruptible. And the team name was the untouchables, which I'm sure a lot of you probably also recognize for the film franchise, which was launched from his memoir that was also called the untouchables. I think, yeah. So as they're talking, Eliot Ness is telling Dean, like, talk to me more about the red light. Talk to me more about this monster. It's crazy shit you're spewing right more. And Dean realizes, wait a minute, you fucking believe me, like you're a hunter, aren't you? And explains to Eliot Ness, like, vampires, ghouls, all this stuff, like, I hunt them too. I do the same thing as you, just like, decades in the future,

LA:

and I think you said vampires are what got him started. Yes, yes. Because

Berly:

Dean was also who died. Like, what? What tragedy happened in your life to where you ended up being a hunter? Let's bond. And Eliot Ness was like, What the Fuck no, there were a bunch of vampires attacking people in Cleveland. And so I found out about it and took him down. And like, I make a difference in people's lives. That's why I do this.

LA:

Was, didn't he kind of, like, school him too, like that. You know, shit happens in life. Yeah, it always happens. No, what am I trying to say?

Berly:

You're going to lose people regardless. Is basically what Elliot Ness was saying, Yeah, people die. Like, that's what's going to happen, and one day your number is going to come up. It doesn't matter if you're a hunter or not, that's going to fucking happen. He's like, Stop dwelling on your your pity. He was like, having hunting is the only clarity I find in this world. So be happy like you're luckier than most. Is what Eliot Ness was saying at one point, yeah, I like which I think Dean needed to hear. He did. He did. He's lost. He's lost his purpose for doing it. But, I mean, I get it because he The reason he has done it his whole life is because that's what his dad trained him to do. He didn't necessarily get into it for a reason like Elliot Ness did. Look at why Bobby got into it, and look why his dad got into all these other people that have come Frank, even right? Have gotten to it because of a trap. Exactly? It was a timely character to come in and say, No, I do it because I'm helping

LA:

people. Right? That's what keeps Dean in it. But he's just

Berly:

lost sight of that, right,

LA:

right? Yeah, we're on such a journey with Dean and his emotion, oh my gosh, I

Berly:

shouldn't laugh. I don't know why I'm laughing because we're stupid. Back in the present, Sam and Jody like Sam's putting his stuff out on the wall, trying to get the timeline together, trying to figure out what's going on. When Jody calls him again, she insists on, I'm coming to help Dean got blasted out. You don't know where we don't know what we're dealing with. I'm the one who referred this case to you guys. It's the least I could do. She apparently goes, and I don't know where she got all the boxes. I figured she must have gone to Bobby's, because they were Bobby's boxes. Well, Bobby's house burnt down. Remember storage Rufus is Rufus safe house where they were all at. Maybe that's where he had everything. Because Sam was like, Well, I mean, do you like lifting boxes? So he sent Jody to go get all these boxes of bobbies from somewhere and bring them to him in the dilapidated house, which, I guess, which ended up being really convenient in the long run that they were in that house. I guess they did need to stay wherever it was that Dean went missing. So, right, they're in Canton. Ohio, I guess, right? Yeah, Elliot Ness was in Canton, Ohio.

LA:

No, they kept saying Chicago, like they were talking about Chicago and how he went after Capone or whatever. But I'm like, why are we in Ohio? And maybe

Berly:

he start, maybe he hasn't done those things yet. Maybe he started somewhere else. Because why would he be time traveled back in time and to another state? Yeah,

LA:

I don't know. He he said that the forget what the reasoning was. But he Well, I mean, that's what

Berly:

he's famous for, right? But those things haven't happened yet. In the, in this timeline, in Elliot Nelson's life, those things haven't happened yet, right? No, he said it, Oh, I thought Dean was saying it, like referring to movies and shit. No,

LA:

he said, I forget what he said the reasoning was. But he was like, that's, that's why I went after Capone because of whatever. I forget what it is.

Berly:

But then maybe he moved out of Chicago after all that.

LA:

Maybe he just heard about this, something going on down there, and he traveled, decided

Berly:

to just go to Canton, right? We're overthinking it. Probably anyway. Ness goes and gets the files and is showing Dean everything and figures out the same thing that Sam has already figured out, that he like kills in threes, and

LA:

is that? Isn't that when they even notice his ring in the pictures, that's

Berly:

Jody and Sam. Is it okay? It's kind of confusing, because we've got, we've got the two different teams, right, investigating the same thing and finding the same information. So it does kind of get a little confusing for us to sit here and recap, right? I could follow it easily when we were watching the show. So it's not a critic. Criticism of the episode. It's just coming back and recapping it. Yeah, right. And get a little confusing, figuring out which team figured out what, when at which time. Yeah, because they were each figuring it out. It was cute, though I liked how they were, like, all aligned and they so Elliot S is, like, you're part of the team. We're gonna, we're gonna hunt this monster together. So first, yeah, we gotta get you out those

LA:

clothes. Yeah, and I appreciate him doing.

Berly:

He takes him to meet Ezra Moore, which is basically Elliot ness's Bobby and she's wonderful. She's straight up like a, huh, hey, I'm a 1940s Oh, a 1940s dame.

LA:

She's a broad. She's a,

Berly:

I'm a 1940s broad. Yeah, I got a suit store. We're gonna put you in a three piece. You see, fitted just perfectly. It was so nice. It was so nice. Yeah, his suit, whenever he was just like, putting the things together, I saw him, like, doing the tie, and I saw the shoulder, I saw the the vest, and I was like, three piece,

LA:

three piece, right, right? I love a man in a three piece suit. Pinstripe

Berly:

was nice. They did him well. They did him well. And then they even gave him the gun holster.

LA:

Oh yeah, when he took his jacket.

Berly:

But in the beginning of the episode, earlier in the episode, whenever Sam and Dean were pretending to be FBI, and they were in their suits and after they interviewed the Kooky, kooky self medicating guy, they went back to the hotel. You remember us getting excited that Dean had his sleeves rolled up. That's how that's how hungry they make us on this show. It's like they don't show us enough, right? More.

LA:

Little did we know we were gonna get later. We

Berly:

got even better. We got four arms twice, uh huh, and a three piece suit, they're spoiling us. Thank

Unknown:

you.

Berly:

His hair is all slicked back, and everything too. And Ezra is getting filled in on everything, and she What does she I don't remember the whole sentence she said, but she calls Dean. It's like, what are you idiots doing? And Dean just smiles. It's like, oh, you remind me of somebody, which makes me sad. Then that she kisses him later, no, but he's like, You remind me of Bobby. And she's just like, I'm gonna lay one on lay one on you. I'm gonna assault you real quick. Give it. Give it to me. I think Dean told Ezra and Ness about the ring. And at the same time, Sam and Jody are going through pictures, and they are also spotting the ring. And so they all figure out that the symbol on the ring belongs to kronas, the god of time. So that's something that both of our researching teams figure out. I don't know if it was at the same time, but it's at the same time in the episode, basically, that they're figuring all of this out.

LA:

And then it's Sam and Jody need to summon a God, whereas Dean and an s they have to kill they want to kill the God.

Berly:

The other thing that I thought was interesting was Sam was pointing out how, you know, there's all these gods, and they're still powerful, but they're not as powerful as they used to be, because they got so much of their power back in the day from having worshipers, from having all these people that believed in them. They don't have so many people believing in them anymore. They've kind of replaced that power with being pissed and going out and murdering people like Kronos here, you know, and Kronos admits that's what he was doing before he met this Lila person, he was doing exactly that. But I thought that was a fun little explanation for us to hear, because it does seem that we're going to see Gods more and more frequently, like we've already had two this season, yeah, with Osiris and now Coronas, but yeah, so he needs to sacrifice people. People in order to get powerful enough to time jump, or whatever it is that he's doing murder,

LA:

you know, I like that. He justifies it as a sacrifice,

Berly:

while Ezra is going to be trying to figure out what it is that they need to kill, kronas Dean and Elliot Ness decide to head over to Snyder's house to do some snooping, do some digging around, figure out where can they find this guy? Does he have patterns, you know, yada yada yada. They get to the door, and Dean is like, oh, it's locked. Do you have a lock pick? I'll have one. And Elliot Ness is like, yeah, I got, I got it covered. And he just kicks in the door, right? I was like, Oh, we were like, Mr. Ness, oh, my so aggressive. They come in, guns ablaze, guns ablaze, and they got their guns up. Dean was holding his gun more professionally. Oh, I didn't know, but he had his nice, sturdy gun. Elliot Ness had one of those little, skinny, little skinny barrel guns, Crystal, the little pistol from the 40s. So I guess he didn't need to be as careful with it. Ness was kind of waving around like, come on now with the one hand. And Dean was like, So Dean had two I had a two hander, and that's just just needed the one. It's important to the plot that

Unknown:

we really is,

Berly:

anyway they go dig it through Elliot's not Elliot Snyder's house, and Dean finds accounting log, or not an accounting log, betting log of all these bets that Kronos goes and makes. And Dean called it, called it, oh, he knows how these are gonna win. So then they decide, okay, we need to go talk to the bookie while this is going on, Sam and Jody find the summoning ritual, but they also find out that they have to figure out exactly at what time Dean and Kronos may be in the same vicinity as each other in order to summon him, because otherwise they would just be summoning Kronos by himself, right? And Dean would be stuck in 1940 whatever, still, so they don't know where he is, but he'd be stuck in the past still, no matter what, they're kind of going through Bobby's stuff, still trying to find stuff. And Jody finds a bottle of, I think it was whiskey, yeah,

LA:

it looks like Johnny Walker.

Berly:

Maybe it looked like Johnny Walker, yeah. And it said on the bottle, find you ass. You win for once, enjoy R. And Jody was like, who's R? And Sam was like, it's gotta be Rufus. And I love that. Jody just being like, oh, there's all these puzzles pieces to the puzzle that will never know. I was like, I feel like they were setting it up for there to potentially be a prequel of Bobby and Rufus with that line.

LA:

They should have. They still should. They still should. But that was sweet. And she was like, we should drink this. Yeah,

Berly:

he'd want us to drink it. And Sam agreed. Sam was like, Yeah, I'd be rude not to.

LA:

It would have been kind of funny to just see them drunk together. Yeah,

Berly:

we didn't get to see that.

LA:

We're gonna pause on this investigation real quick.

Berly:

Yeah, there's no wait, wasted. I mean, there it is. There it is. Fan, still, they've hid, they've hid this obstacle. There's how are they going to find that out? I mean, luckily, they do, but they were kind of stuck there for a second, right? Dean and Elliot Ness find the bookie, and they play for like little good cop, bad cop. Dean gets to be the bad cop. That's when we see him in the with the whole I was about to say. The important thing that happens in this scene is that Dean takes off his jacket. Oh, first, the first the first important thing that happens in this scene is that they throw Lester in the seat, and Dean, like, punches him, and Elliot gives him, like, a judgmental like, look, what are you doing? Dean's like, I learned it from watching you. I thought it was funny. And then they jump into their good cop, bad cop thing. And Elliot's like, oh yeah. He gets really antsy if he doesn't get to kick somebody's ass every couple of days, and Dean takes off his jacket, and then we see him, like, do like this. Like, yes, that you gotta explain what you're doing. He does this with his arms. He like, flings out. How do I explain this? I know he's rolling up. He flicks his wrist, flicks his flicks his arm. Is Hold on, get it to get his cuff. Cuff. Like, yeah, start rolling those sleeves. You get to see the vest and the whole fitter fitted.

LA:

Like, it was funny,

Berly:

because whenever he first does this, he's blurry in the background, and Elliot Ness is in focus in the front. And so la didn't see it at first. And I was just like, No, no, no. Harry wound, I was like, don't look at Elliot. I know he's what's in focus and he's what we're supposed to be looking at, but do not look at him. Look at Dean. Look at dean. And he's like, Huh, that's the important thing that happens in this scene. True. I mean, I guess it's also kind of important that they find out about the diner and all that other kind of stuff. It was a secondary, secondary, speaking of the diner Ness, Elliot,

LA:

Elliot, Elliot,

Berly:

Elliot, Elliot and Dean go to the diner and they see Kronos, so they're just kind of waiting for him to make a move. And this is when they kind of. Their conversation about how Elliot got into hunting and yada yada yada that we've already gone over, they see a beautiful blonde come walking out of the diner. Elliot goes, hello, nurse, I thought that was hilarious, because to me, that's from Animaniacs. You hear that cartoon?

LA:

Oh yeah,

Berly:

yeah. They were, they had if they would

LA:

always go, Hello, nurse. Oh, that's funny. It's like, what I didn't

Berly:

know that was an actual saying. And then Kronos comes out and starts to follow her. And they're just like, Oh, fuck. Here we go. Victim number three, this is her. Let's follow him. So they go to Elliot's trunk and open up his Hunter truck. And we paused it, we saw there were a bunch of stakes, which makes sense, because vampires are his thing. That's his gig. He liked going after the vampires. So a shitload of stakes on one side. And then there was something at the top that we think was a bow for a bow and arrow. I think so. I can't think what else would have I don't know what else it could have been. Yeah, we tried looking really closely to figure out, I think it was a bow, yeah? And so I thought that was a cool touch. And then a bunch of different pistols, ness hands, Dean and Uzi. I was like, What? What?

Unknown:

It's so 1944

Berly:

I was like, damn. And then Ness grabbed himself just a shotgun, yeah? So they go after Kronos, and they turn the corner and they see her, him running up to the blonde, and they're about, like, get ready to, like, lock and load and start shooting. But then Snyder Kronos Ethan grabs the blonde and just starts kissing her, just like, middle of the alley, militia, yeah? And she's into it. Oh, yeah. Oh, which I

LA:

have to say. I like, I mean, obviously this is just like real life, but back then it was everything was so much more formal. Like the nurse had her hair done all pretty and perfect makeup and her dress and her little heels, and then, like, all the guys are in these three piece suits. I wish sometimes I say that, but like, I don't even put clothes together

Berly:

anymore. I was about to say, I like it in theory, right? But then, at the same time, the thought of having to get up and do that every single day just to leave your house,

LA:

right? They didn't have a lot of TV,

Berly:

right? They didn't need to catch up on their they didn't need to catch up on their stories.

LA:

They had time to kill we've come a long way.

Berly:

Okay, so Dean and Elliot split up. Dean goes back to Ezra to see if she's been able to figure out what the fuck they need to do to take down Kronos and Elliot follows Ethan Snyder Kronos. And this girl who we find out is Lila. We also find out Lila owns her own I was like, in the 40s, yeah, that's why I said a 20 year old, 20 year old, she owns her own home. Now it was kind of, it did seem like she was kind of on, like, maybe a little bit of a farmhouse, yeah. So I wonder if it was her parents and like she was an only child and they left it to her true

LA:

still jealous. Yeah, right.

Berly:

She's doing good for herself. And this Kronos guy is just murder, no wonder he's like, murdering people to try and stay in her life, right? Try and be worthy. Well, Chronos finds Elliot Ness, and they get to fighting. And this fight scene like it wasn't over the top or anything. However, as someone who can't text and walk at the same time, I personally thought it was really impressive that they were throwing these punches with Kronos, like walking just, just continuously walking toward Elliot, and Elliot swinging the punches and like, trying to fight. But I feel like that would have been really hard to do and not have accidentally actually hit each other. So I would have, I'm curious how many takes that took, because I feel like that was probably really difficult to do.

LA:

I probably rehearsed it a lot,

Berly:

I would think, so I would think you'd have to, yeah, like, just watching it. I was like, I would, I would have accidentally hit him or I would have fallen. I was impressed. It wasn't, it wasn't the most extensive choreography. I'm just saying me personally, I was really impressed. I was like, wow, y'all should give yourselves a round of applause. I thought it was good. You did well. Then Chronos like slugs Elliot Ness through a shed and Lila pops her head out. And I was like, What are you doing, silly, you can't take out the trash if you don't have the trash. And he was like, just a minute, sweetie. And she just sets down the trash bag and goes back inside. I would have been like, What the fuck are you doing, right?

LA:

Why are you across the street? What

Berly:

are you doing?

LA:

Yeah, I thought that was off too. She's just like, Okay,

Unknown:

let me just set this.

LA:

Okay. Okay. She's a very trusting woman, super

Berly:

trusting, super trusting. Well, luckily, Lila distracted Cronus long enough that Elliot Ness was able to get away, and Cronus was just like, fuck, and then presumably he went and took the trash out. Well, let's hope so. I know we didn't see it happen, but let's hope that he did it, because if he didn't, that's some fucked up shit. Corona, how

LA:

dare you live in her house and not take the trash out? She is the prize. Remember, she is the breadwinner. Oh, my God. What does even do besides kill people, excuse me, sacrificed and can't

Berly:

take the trash out. Okay? Granted, you saw the person, the perpetrator, like she still had to carry the trash all the way to the door and put it on the perch, like just

LA:

the perch.

Berly:

You heard me.

LA:

We're getting very upset about this trash situation.

Berly:

Well, speaking of, okay, the reason why he better have taken the trash out, right? Is because he goes back in the house and tells her, you need to pack a bag. Yeah, you'd pack a bag. Once again,

LA:

you're in her home, Yeah, buddy. And he's just bossing her around. And she's sweet as can be, and he

Berly:

snaps at her, and she's, you can tell she's starting to get scared. And I'm just like, Oh, did he take the trash? What is happening?

LA:

She should have said, I'll pack my bag if you took that fucking trash out. Yeah, how

Berly:

about you take your meat bags and get out of my house? How about that coming in here talking to me after you just kicked in my shed with some stranger out there? Did you fix it? Probably not. Did you take out the trash? Oh, we're just gonna leave. Now. You're just gonna leave after you destroyed some of my property. What a bastard. Such a dick. Dick loves a muffin. Oh, my God. Well, he's trying to tell her, like, everything's fine, everything's fine. Oh, I forgot to say, no question. Ezra did find out how to kill krotos. By the way, it's a stick that's been dipped in blood and embellished with this, and it's, it was very Virgin's blood or so, yeah, yeah. It was super elaborate as to everything that had been done with this little stick, right? She was just like, don't ask questions. Like, just this is what you need. Stick the pointy end in his heart, and then she's salt stain and sends him on his way. Everybody

LA:

in the 1944 in 1944 real bossy, yeah, pack a bag. Don't ask questions about the steak I'm giving you. Okay, I'm gonna kiss you. Kiss.

Berly:

I'm kissing you on the lips. Yeah, I'm taking what you said that you're gonna return the favor. I'm cashing that in right now with your mouth. Give it to me. She took it. She did it anyway. Where was I?

LA:

I don't know. Where was this? I feel like this is such a mess. I feel like I've made the dumbest comments.

Berly:

Okay, so Dean, after Ezra kisses him, has an epiphany, and he's like, Oh, Back to the Future three. I know I know what I need to do, like I need to write a note and I take some paper. So he writes a note to Sam, and then he goes to the dilapidated, vacant house that he knows they're staying in in present time. Luckily, it was already built, and it's gorgeous. It's a beautiful house. There's a wonderful gentleman sitting inside. Dean knocks on the door and is like, Hey, I'm FBI for termites, and you have a termite problem, and I am here to do a treatment to your home that will protect it forever. And the man is just like, yes, of course, yes. Please come in. Come inside. And he goes upstairs and he moves the man's bed and takes the man's pillow and lays down on the man's floor. The man comes in is like, we're all set in here. We're good. And Jean like we are good at first. And the man is just like, Okay, right?

LA:

Well, again, trust him. These people are bossy and trusting. But when he first started doing that, I was like, What the hell is he doing? And if I had been that, man, well, he did come and be, like, a little confused. I've been like, get the fuck out of my house. Weirdo. First of all, there's a perfectly good bed you can lay on, but you're choosing to go on the floor, slid

Berly:

the bed away from the wall, and then lay it on the floor. And this is why I told you it was like, Okay, this is why the Rock Paper Scissors thing was such a big deal. Is because this is Sam's room, right? He's in right now,

LA:

I think. Anyway, whatever. I

Berly:

didn't say it was a good reason. No, I know. I know. I know, and I love that. Like, in order to put himself in Sam's position, like, think, okay, okay, I'm Sam, right? What would I see? Yes, like, lay down on the floor and pretend that he's sleeping, and he's like, okay, my brother is usually a side sleeper, right? So I know these things very well, because we normally share a room together. But today, we were not going to share a room together, no way, but we normally do. So I know what he does when he lays down to go to sleep, and I know where he laid his blanket, his very which he didn't, of course, he didn't move, didn't move, and it was very thin for that to be bedding, right? Well,

LA:

I think that's why I was confused. I was like, What are they doing? Not

Berly:

even really a sleeping bag. I don't think it just looked like a cashmere throw or something. Sam was like, let me put this roll this thing out. Get Real comfy down here. And so Dean was like, I remember, I know that this is where he let me put my and lay. I'm laying. And then he looks and he's like, that's it. That's my spot. That's the magic spot on the floorboard. Right there. And so he goes over to it, and he pulls out his switch blade, which, I guess they gave it back to him at the police station. Oh,

LA:

I'm sure Elliot did. Elliot's like,

Berly:

take your take your pocket, take your pocket treasure. Take your pocket treasure back. Here's all your stuff.

LA:

Okay, man, we're a mess.

Berly:

So Dean, Dean goes and does the thing well. Back in the present day, Jody Get it together.

LA:

Okay,

Berly:

back in the present day, Jodi had gone and used the semi functional bathroom because they've been drinking the whiskey. She broke the seal. Just had to go. So she's coming back down the stairs from having used the semi functional bathroom, and in the few minutes that she was gone, Sam has passed out on the table. Is that when he like, dove into the bed? Well, that's coming up. Oh, okay. And Jody was just like, hey, I'm gonna stay up. I'm gonna keep digging. You go to sleep. Sam was like, No, I'm fine. She was like, don't make me use my mom voice. Oh, yeah. And that's when Sam went up and just like, dove into his little cashmere throw. I was like, that had to have hurt. Yeah? I mean, he just fell. He was just that tired, face planted. He was so sleepy. Yeah, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, I get it. So he starts like tossing and turning, just like Dean knew he would. And then he opens his eyes, and he goes, Wait a second, is that my name? That's my name carved in the floorboard. So he goes over, and he pops off the floorboard and finds a note. And there's a long, detailed note, he goes running down. And I love how, at first, Jodi was like, All right, you asked, like she was about to get all

LA:

Didn't she say? All right, young man,

Berly:

it was cute. I need more Jody. I like her. I like her a lot. But Sam was so excited to show her the note, and so she started reading. Was like, What the fuck he was like. Just keep reading. Just keep reading. Essentially, now they know the date. Dean is telling them all the information. He's like, okay, like, I got assaulted, and this guy is Kronos, and he's here with this Lila girl. I don't know what's going on, but I'm working with Ellie and Ness. Yes, that Elliot Ness. Be jealous. Be jealous. Yeah. So we have an idea of the year. We even have the company who is present. They need to know the exact time, like the hour and the minute they need the time. Let's go see if we can find this Lila. Check. Luckily, Lila is still alive and in a retirement home, and Sam and Jody find her and still has her memory. And who does she? She wanted Frankie Valley. Yeah. She was like, put them on the TV. And I was like, Oh, girl, we get it. It's

LA:

like, what will you do?

Berly:

You and I are gonna be in our 80s in a retirement home. You're gonna be like, put Jensen.

LA:

And I need the bullies on

Berly:

the TV. Put them on the TV. Where's open water? Two. I wanted to watch open water too. You

LA:

know when there's like, the creepy, like, old grandmothers that are, like, hitting on the young men that's gonna be,

Berly:

we're gonna be the Esper Mors, yeah, there you go. And they're gonna give you thanks. They're gonna react just like Dean did. They put on her Frankie Valley so that she shuts up. And they're just like, Okay, we need to talk to you. They show her a picture of Cronus. And she's like, Oh my Ethan. Oh my Ethan. He just, he strangled that poor man. And they're like, oh my god, Lila, calm down. What time was it when this happened? The exact time I need the hour and the minute please. Well,

LA:

the only, only reason she knew, though, was because they all stopped. They all stopped, which, How

Berly:

lucky is that well, and I love that

LA:

they had that big old grandfather clock that she was winding. And yeah, they

Berly:

did keep showing that with the it has a name. It does pendulum. There you go, right? Yeah, yeah, it was cool. But yeah. She was like, yeah. That's when the clock stopped at 1134 and then Sam was just like, that's what I needed. Enjoy your Frankie Valley. See you bitch. They took off, so back in the past, Dean is finally like, okay, where the are you Elliot, and goes over to Lila's house. He's got the olive steak. That's what it is. Oh, olive branch that's had all these mystical things done to it, including blood and virgins and all this other stuff. It wasn't virgin blood, but virgins had something to do with, yeah, festivals.

LA:

I can't remember what she said. I was I was attempting to go write it down. I

Berly:

was like, I'm not. It was way complicated. Yeah. Happy. So Dean gets there, he can't find Ness. He's like, trying to be like Ness. Elliott, where are you? Elliot. But then Snyder is just like you get in here, cutie. I got you. So he takes him in, and then Ness shows up and he has Lila. Mm. He's got his gun to Lila, and they reveal everything to Lila. They are just like, girl, do you know who you've been dating? This

LA:

is poor, innocent girl, Oh,

Berly:

her heart was broken. She was it really hurt me whenever Elliot listed off the victims. And she was like, that was one of my friends, yeah. Like, you killed one of my friends. You've been catfished girl, is what they were telling her. And she was just so sad. She did good. And then she, like, even when she called him a monster and everything, like, how heartbroken she had to have been, yeah, well, imagine just a 2020, something, right? I mean, even in the 40s, there's a chance this was her first love, you know, right? Like, oh so sad. And Kronos too, his heart was broken as well. Like, even though he was the bad guy at the episode, he was so desperately trying to be like, but I did it for you, but I did right, you

LA:

did it. Just keep coming back to you, right? That's why I did it this. They were sacrifices. It

Berly:

was such a tragic story. It really, it honestly was because he was in love, and he told her, like, Yeah, before, before you, I did it just because, but then after I met at you, the only reason why I kept doing it was to get back to you, like, honestly, whenever he was saying that he just gets thrown around in time with no control, that really is a mis that would be a miserable existence. Then you just want to be with one person, and then you find this one person who makes you happy, and you have to, it's, it was honestly very sad. It really is. It honestly is, whenever you think a whole show about them, like, no wonder he's so angry. And just, I, yeah, this needs to be one of the episodes in our spin off idea, yeah. I just want to see Kronos and then him meeting oh, I want to see him meet her. Oh, what was that like? A

LA:

good meet cute. Yeah?

Berly:

Um, God,

LA:

I didn't think about that all that till now, but kind of heartbreaking,

Berly:

really sad. It's a really sad story. Well anyway, pronouns starts to choke Dean, yeah, that's not good. And then he turns him around and, like, holds them to him. Whenever he starts going gold or not gold, red, red, he starts throbbing. Oh, to get I might be throbbing if I was holding him being like that too, right? But the reason he's throbbing is because, back in present time, Jody and Sam are throwing all these mystery ingredients. They don't explain shit. But it was a very complicated spell. Guys like, they threw in it was pretty cool. Like, first thing they put in was an hourglass that's very similar to the symbol that was on his ring. I missed that there was this really fancy. The only reason I noticed this because it was really fancy and pretty. And I was like, oh my god, that was so pretty. And then they put this weird cloth on top of it. And Sam was like, break it. And Jody, like, took a little hammers, like, smash, smash, smash, smash. So they smash up this hour glass thing, and then they throw in, like, those glass beads from like an aquarium. So they're throwing that in there. And then they're throwing in some, like, grass looking stuff. And I was like, what are all these ingredients? Like, they are gonna explain shit to us, but it was a lot of stuff. They threw a lot of shit into this bowl. It's like, is this a spell, or they just throw in some shit in here? And the bowl was really cool too. Like, it was, like, this big brass bowl. Like, it was really awesome. But, yeah, the it was, like, yellow, yellow stuff, and, like, all this. And, oh, my god, are you okay?

LA:

I like, plunked up.

Berly:

I hate it when that happens. Okay? And then Sam cuts on his palm, not his butt hole.

LA:

What tear

Berly:

we're having? The conversation about, like, the most the places that you would cut to get blood.

LA:

I do not remember that it was a long time ago, because it's so vascular, okay, you can just do your lips, you know? But

Berly:

Sam goes for the palm. Sam cuts his palm, and he writes on a I assume it was a special kind of paper, because it had kind of a cool texture to it, was as they looked like some sort of Canvas, almost, yeah, like there was this texture going on with it. And so he writes on the paper with his blood 1134 and then they put it on there, and they catch it on fire. And so that's why Cronus is throbbing. Is because Jody and Sam are summoning him. Robbing, I can throb whenever I get summoned. Sometimes too, depends on the spell. If you aren't using the right aquarium feeds, it might not work.

LA:

Oh, my God, this

Berly:

episode's a memory. I

LA:

mean, we're having a good time.

Berly:

Okay, so Cronus is just like, Ah, fuck. And so he vanishes. So Lila and Elliot, NASA just like, bye, I guess, like, see ya. Oh no. Elliot has the olive branch, and he's just like, hey, untouchable. And throws the olive branch and Dean catches it just before he disappears. Yeah,

LA:

I hope, I hope that Elliot and Lila got together and he helped mend her broken heart.

Berly:

I don't know he was holding her at gunpoint when we last saw them. No,

LA:

yeah, he also seemed a little bit older, right?

Berly:

Anyway, so do you hope that? I don't think you do. I just feel

LA:

for Lila, hope, hope she had good things. Obviously, she must have had a decent life. She's in a nice little. Nursing

Berly:

home. Yeah, and I think she had grandchildren. I think she said something about the grandkids, or something. She wanted Frankie Valley. So yeah, and she looked fabulous. She did. I thought she looked great. So I think she had a wonderful life goals. So Dean and Cronos are now in present time with Jody and Sam. And Cronos is pissed, and he like punches Sam, like Sam tries to come toward him, and he's just like, whoa. Sam goes flying. Jody is trying to check on Dean to make sure Dean's okay. And luckily, Sammy, Sammy smarty pants, sees the olive branch and figures out This must be what we need, and not just some random stick that Dean brought back with him for some reason. Yeah, he didn't need the instructions. No, he did not need to know. He knew what to do. So he picks up the olive branch, because Cronus has turned around and is yelling at Dean and is trying to go for Dean, because that's where he's kind of directing his wrath right now is this guy who has ruined his romantic, little love story that he had going on at home. So he doesn't even see Sam coming at this point. Sam just like, Ah, I really liked what they did with the veins. Yeah, I didn't

LA:

see too much of it because I was making notes, but I did look up and saw a little bit, yeah,

Berly:

the gold, like throbbing. He just throbbed until he died. He just kept throbbing and throbbing. Oh, but he had something to say. Did have a message for them? Yeah, he did kind of like, tell them, like, Fuck you guys like I've seen your future. It's covered in thick, black ooze. It's everywhere, there, everywhere. Before he dies,

LA:

too many leviathans. Oh no,

Berly:

they're gonna get dicked down.

LA:

They are. Dick loves a muffin. That

Berly:

was the end of the episode, guys, yeah, very detailed, wonderful.

LA:

You're welcome.

Berly:

That's That's exactly how it happened.

LA:

Best episode ever.

Berly:

This was written by Robbie Thompson and directed by kitchen. Meet cute. Phil secret, Oh, all right. So there wasn't any Gore that I can really think of,

LA:

yeah, I mean blood that we had Sam's bloody hand again, yeah.

Berly:

Was there anything you adored about this episode? Three? Three piece? Oh, it was nice. And Sam's hair, oh, yeah, the voluminous at

LA:

the beginning, like I said, it was worth the relay. My God, I would like to see that three piece suit again, because he brought it back with him. Oh, he did, didn't he? Now, so I'm gonna see it again. He

Berly:

has that whole three piece suit now, yeah, yeah. Let's

LA:

get Sammy one too.

Berly:

Agreed, agreed. Oh, I

LA:

have to say, also, just another thing I loved was the costumes because of that time period.

Berly:

Oh, I loved the, like, I said, yeah, the cars, yeah, the language, all the we didn't get all of it. We've missed a lot, I'm sure. But like, there was a ton of the lingo that was thrown in there. I really enjoyed that.

LA:

Yeah, I liked the time travel in general, I guess, yeah. And being specific

Berly:

to the 40s, and bringing an Elliot nest, making him a hunter was really creative. I love Yeah, I loved it. I liked this episode. It was really cute. Clearly, we did. I mean, we had some issues with it, but I mean, still, Overall, I liked it. Well, take us into the lore. All right.

LA:

This is gonna be an article from chronicle at CRO at Kronos Hunter. Is that right? Kronos

Berly:

Hunter, Kronos Hunter, like, it's like eBay, but it's just watches, oh, I don't know anything about that, and they have, like, a blog, and that's, that's where I found this. Okay,

LA:

well, it's titled, who's, who is Kronos. Let me tell you, Kronos is the personification of time and pre Socratic philosophy, Greek mythology and later literature. He is the symbol of the eternal passage of time. Born of Uranus, the sky and Gaia the earth. He was the wiliest and youngest of their offspring, and perhaps the most powerful in Greek mythology, kronas was the primordial God of Time. He was described as destructive, all devouring and unstoppable force. Okay, meant to it until

Berly:

he met the love of says, Live on the advice of his

LA:

mother. Coronavirus castrated his father with a scythe. What did he do to his mother?

Berly:

I mean, I don't know, but she was pissed. Obviously,

LA:

this, according to the Greek separated heaven from Earth. Some of the blood that was shed following this rather extreme act fell on Earth and created the what is that

Berly:

I don't know, Gigantes, gigants, a race of massive and massively aggressive warriors. The

LA:

rest of the blood fell into the sea, creating white foam, from which the goddess of love, beauty and eternal youth, Aphrodite, emerged. So it wasn't all bad. Things happened for a reason. Okay, I'd like to know how that happened, but whatever, with the help of his titan brothers, Cronos, was able to depose Uranus and rule the cosmos. This gave way to. What was called the Golden Age, an era in Greek mythology when people had no need for laws or rules, because everyone did the right thing and immortality was absent. Another of Kronos fine achievements, what a dream. Then the story turns dark again, having heard a prophecy that he would be overthrown by his son, Kronos tried to swallow each of his children as they were born. Make sense, his last son, Zeus, was saved by his mother, who fed Kronos a stone wrapped in cloth instead, and hid the baby on the Isle island of Crete. When Zeus grew up, he forced his father to regurgitate his brothers and sisters and led them in a 10 year war against the Titans. Victorious. Seuss seized power and made his father King of the Elysian Fields, Elysian Fields, Elysian, Elysian,

the underworld, the final resting place of the souls of heroes and virtuous men, including Orpheus, Achilles, patroclies and menolaus sounds right to me, yeah. Putting aside castration and infant consumption, there were different and mythological times. After all, Coronas strikes a very powerful figure. But we have bad news for Corona Hunter, according to watch crunch. This is incorrect, uh oh. Kronos, in Greek mythology, is often associated with the concept of time, but he is distinct from Kronos spelled with a C to Kronos spelled with a K, the Titan who was the father of Zeus and other Olympian gods. The confusion between Kronos and Kronos common due to the similarity in their names. Oh, okay. Kronos or kronas represents the abstract personification of time, often depicted as a god with no distinct personality or characteristics, which is boring, yeah, just boring old guy. He is more closely related to the abstract and unmeasurable aspects of time, like eternity or the passage of time itself. In some depictions, he is represented as a serpent or a winged creature, symbolizing the ever flowing and continuous nature of time. On the other hand, kronas was one of the Titans, and he was associated with the harvest and agriculture. That's a big turn. In some accounts, kronas is also linked to time, particularly the cyclical and destructive nature of time, as he was said to have devoured his own children, including Zeus, to prevent them from eventually overthrowing him. It's not totally incorrect. Cronus is more closely related to the concept of time as a fundamental abstract force, while Cronus so confusing, Cronos is a distinct character in Greek mythology with a specific set of actions and stories. It's important to note that the ancient Greeks had a complex and evolving mythology with different versions and interpretations of their gods and stories. As a result, the association between Kronos and time, as well as any confusion with Kronos, likely developed over time through a combination of linguistic factors, philosophical considerations and the way these concepts were represented in Greek culture and literature. Ooh, that was some confusing lore. Yeah, good luck everybody with that.
