Jay Gruska

Jay Gruska's career began with a recording contract at ABC Dunhill Records while studying music at UCLA. He's released three albums, written multiple #1 hits across Billboard charts, and composed Emmy and Genie-nominated scores for film and TV seen in over 50 countries.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Venezuela and Los Angeles, Gruska's style blends Latin, Classical, Broadway, and pop influences. As a staff songwriter, he seamlessly transitioned between pop and screen composing—simultaneously achieving a #1 movie ("Mo' Money"), Top Ten hit ("Good For Me" by Amy Grant), and Emmy-nominated TV theme ("Lois And Clark").

Having composed for over 500 hours of television, he's also co-written three theatrical musicals, including "Being Earnest." A career highlight: "Friends And Lovers" and "Both To Each Other" charted simultaneously by four artists. His work has garnered 11 ASCAP Awards total.
